Definition
A QR code is a square black-and-white pattern that works like a shortcut. When you scan it with your phone, it opens a website, shows text, or does something else.
You do not need a special app on most modern phones.
Step 1 – Open Your Camera
- Unlock your phone.
- Find and open the Camera app (the one you use to take photos).
Step 2 – Point at the QR Code
- Hold your phone so the QR code is on your screen, like you’re about to take a picture.
- Make sure:
- The whole QR code is visible.
- It’s not blurry.
- There’s enough light.
You do not need to press the shutter button or take a photo.
Step 3 – Wait for the Pop-Up
- Hold your phone steady for 1–2 seconds.
- A small box, banner, or notification will appear on the screen with a link or message. android
Step 4 – Tap the Link
- Tap the notification or banner that appears.
- Your phone will open the website or show the information from the QR code. avast

Safety Tip
Only scan QR codes from sources you trust. If a scanned link looks strange or asks for passwords or payments, don’t enter anything and close the page. help.spreadsheetconverter
